Clinical Services

  • The Department of Neurology provides high quality inpatient and outpatient services for children with a wide range of neurological conditions. 

    Inpatient services

    • Emergency admissions
    • Elective admissions
    • Inpatient consultation for medical, surgical and intensive care patients
    • Electroencephalopgraphy (EEG)
    • Video-EEG monitoring (VEM)
    • Nerve conduction studies and electromyography (EMG)
    • Somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEP)
    • Intraoperative monitoring for spinal and neurosurgical procedures

    Children admitted under the Neurology department are generally admitted to the Cockatoo ward.
